So I am wondering if there is a mum or two who would be interested in trying to meet up on a weekly basis to exchange listening time. I have recently been introduced to Hand In Hand parenting, and one of their tools is called Listening Partnership. The main idea is that when we are listened to without interruption, advice, judgement we are able to figure things out and work things through so we in turn can listen well to our children. So the idea is to meet for an hour and divide the time so each of us gets a chance to talk about whatever is on our minds, while the other listens. If you are interested please get in touch, we could meet to go over the details and even decide to just trial for four weeks. Here is a link that explains more about it and you can listen to a short example.
