How many ounces/feeds a day for 10 week old?

Hi all I have a 10 week old girl who has been taking 6oz 4 times a day with last feed being at 7-8pm and she is sleeping through the night. We used to do dream feed around 11 but she has started hardly talking anything at this time so have stopped it and she is still sleeping through. She gets her first feed at 7am.

Hv hasn't been out recently and not due to come out til January for weighing but she has been tracking fine on her centimetres. Do you think it's ok that this is what she is getting in 24hrs?

Sorry to drop onto your post but just wondered if you found the dream feed to work? & how you did it? What time? How much etc thanks

I did the dream feed from very early on and I think it's why she is sleeping through. Just used to pick her up around 11, change nappy in dark and feed her however much she had at other times of the day. Eventually more recently she's just started not taking it as much and only taking an ounce or two so don't think it's worth picking her up when she isn't taking the full feed now

As a general guideline:

Weight (in kg) x 150 = how many mls they should be having in a 24 hour period.

Divide that answer by 30 to convert it into ounces instead of mls.

So working backwards:

24oz a day would be the expected intake of a baby weighing 4.8kg.

However, it’s not an exact science and I’m sure if your baby was hungry they’d be letting you know Grin

my dd was the same at around that time and I was worried about her not feeding through the night so young, but she will let you kbow if she's hungry. She's 20 weeks now and has 6-7oz 5 times a day and no feed throughout the night

Do you think she would take a little more on each of the three feeds she now has? Maybe increase each by and ounce to start with and see? Then up it a little more if she accepts that. It is a long time since mine were babies but i do recall them taking full 8oz bottles at some point but i can't recall when it was.

Is she leaving milk in the bottle? If not then you need to give her more milk.

I have a 10 week old bottle fed baby and tbh I have no idea how much she takes in a day. She is a grazer and always has a bottle on the go, often doesn’t finish them as she falls asleep and then starts a new one. I consider her to be ‘fed on demand’ like a breastfed baby would, rather than having set feeds.
