What was you babies' first word?

DD's first sound was Dadadadadadadada (it wasn't Dadda, as she didn't have one).
But her first word was No.

The first thing DD said was "good girl".

Other than the usual babble it was tata with accompanying wave then hiya. Almost 19 months now and doesn't say much

My eldest daughter's first proper word was juice I think.

Duck. He actual said yoga at about 8 months but we figured that was unintentional!

DS fuck me! - in his defence he used it in the context of a range rover trying to share the space we were in on the motorway. Good observational skills. Shame my parents were also in the car.

Mama!!! I was so chuffed! He used it when he saw me so I count it as a first word!

We live sort of in a flight path and there's a local theory that lots of kids have up as their first word cos they're always looking at planes!

@pinkhorse - We also had "oh dear" here closely followed by "oh no". She was very accident prone...

DD1’s was “upabovethe” from Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

DD2’s was probably “Dada”, but not wanting DH to be able to claim victory, I ignored that and the next thing she said was “row row”.

Dad. I didn’t get a look in for weeks.

Ds's first words were "shoe" 🥇, then "mum" 🥈 👍🏻 then "daaad" 🥉

"Mama", then "banana" then "more". Though Russian DH claimed a victory with "dadadada" .

Dada and mama, think she meant it as she quickly moved on to whispering 'mummy' and 'daddy' to her light show at night.
