Best formula for constipated baby

My 5 week old currently feeds on cow and gate but really struggling to have a poo. When it eventually comes it is a normal consistency so i guess she isn’t really constipated but she really struggles to go - she strains on and off for over 24 hours before hand and isn’t difficult to settle at night (she gets comfortable then starts straining). The only thing that works to make her have a poo isn’t giving her the ready made formula - she’s then having poo explosions!

Any advice on what to do? I’ve been thinking of changing formula to see if that helps?

Buy some dill (if you’re in an Indian area it’s called suwa) boil it in a pan full of water for a few hours — this gives you enough dill water for a month. Refridgerate when cool. Take about a tablespoon and mix it with babies milk for each feed. Should sort it out in a few days.

Hipp organic. I've heard lots of people say the same

We had some issues with constipation quite early on and moved to comfort milk at the advice of our paediatrician. We chose Aptamil because that’s the brand we were already using. The constipation stopped immediately. DS’s poos were a bit weird for a few days but it settled down and we kept him on comfort milk til he was weaned.
