Breastfeeding pain

I've been breastfeeding my DD for 6 months now and never had any pain. She now has two teeth and it's started to hurt. over the last few weeks the pain has been getting worse and worse. At first it was just the nipple so I've been putting nipple cream on but it hasn't really helped. Since yesterday I've been getting more pain between feeds. Has anyone else had this? It feels like the nipples are sore but also the breast tissue; kind of a tingly pain.

Has anyone else had this? I don't want to stop bf but I'm starting to dread feeding now. I feel perfectly well apart from this so don't think it's mastitis. I did wonder whether it's perhaps thrush as one nipple is a bit white.

Any advice/similar stories greatly appreciated!

To make matters worse I'm away for a week so can't go to GP!

Yes thrush caused that symptom of pain between feels for me too. Are you in UK? I would call out of hours where you are and just ask for prescription over the phone. Gps are often reluctant to prescribe anything other than creams but the fluconazole tablets were the only thing that cleared it for me. Also check your dc mouth for furry tongue or you will just get reinfected. Flowers

Sorry only other tip is to buy disposable breastpads and change every feed and hot wash your bras and bedsheets to get rid of any fungus lurking.
