Not wearing school uniform

Can I ask why parents don't put their children in full school uniform in primary school ❓
It baffles me that children wear a school jumper with a school shirt and then jeans all week
Or
School trousers and then a t-shirt and jacket that's not school uniform
Just baffles me 🤣
Maybe people can explain

Have never seen that tbh

That’s not something I see round here, all the schoolchildren I see are dressed in full school uniforms.

And most of the local primary schools don’t have a school uniform jacket either.

Never seen this amongst my kids friends but loads did this when I was in school in the 80's/90's. I remember handknitted logo jumpers and jeans, ski pants or later shelly bottomsGrin
At my kids school lots in the early years wear joggers which are allowed and loads of girls wear leggings which I don't think are uniform but school allows it always school colours though.

At our school it can be because they have no money, because laundry is difficult so once something gets dirty it can't be easily cleaned, or because the parents don't think it's important.

Primary school uniform although everyone wears it is not usually mandatory.
Some kids like to throw a bit of their own style in there, and you haven’t got time to argue with them as you’re trying to get out of the door!

Potential reason for something like a school jumper and jogging bottoms scenario... motor skills delays/coordination problems meaning it's really really bloody hard for them to cope with "proper" school trousers or skirt and tights combos in terms of toileting and dressing independently. My child has dyspraxia and we have to pick uniform items very very carefully as they can't manage some items of clothing without adult assistance.

Sensory issues and it being possibly the only type of clothing the child will tolerate and not be distressed by.

Laundry difficulties or uniform having been damaged and not replaced yet... lots and lots of potential reasons going on there - but I think you just wanted a quick judge and nice spot of condemnation going on really didn't you?!
