Car seats and what to wear?!

Don't know if this is the right place to post this....

So we have gotten a bigger car seat for our 10 month old DD and I've no clue how to dress her in the cold as I know we shouldn't have her in her coat in the car seat

When she was smaller we could put her in the car seat in the house and then wrap blankets around her to keep her snug
We could unwrap blankets when the car heated up etc and just take the whole seat out and pop it on the wheels

But now the car seat stays in the car so do I bring her out with a blanket around her, put her in the cold car seat and then wrap her up? When we get to where we are going take her out in the cold to put her coat on?

I know I'm over thinking this but any tips? 😂

I just carry her out, put her in car seat with blanket and hat, then put a coat on her before moving her to the pushchair. Its easy.

If she just has a thinner jumper she has that on in the car seat

I had a couple of thin pramsuits around that age that I could use in the car seat as it was just like a jumper, might be worth looking for similar? Saved me so much hassle!

You can get a car seat muff - much like a footmuff that you have on a pushchair. It has holes for the straps and stuff and then zips up to keep the baby cozy when strapped in.

And they go pretty cheap on ebay

Yeah we have a car seat blanket wrap that was great when she was little as it lived in the seat which came insides out stayed warm
I just thought it seems weird bringing her to the car in little clothes and then putting her in a cold seat/blanket

I know I'm really thinking too much on this 🙄

Don’t worry we all overly worry but you are overthinking, the house to the car I assume isn’t miles and cars heat up pretty quick.
