Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about how to go about brushing my just turned 2 year olds teeth.
I am ashamed to say I have been inconsistent with this but over the last few weeks I managed to brush his teeth twice a day without any problems. We had got into a great routine however I then went away for a few nights and this has all gone to pot. He now won’t let me anywhere near him and screams blue murder when I try.

I have tried everything I can think of to get this done, apps, songs, letting ds brush my teeth, brushing teddy’s, looking in a mirror, brushing while watching tv. My dp suggests the last thing to try is holding him down but I’m so reluctant as this will only make its so much worse.
Does anyone have a suggestions please? TIA

Little baby bum teeth song on YouTube whilst you brush them- only thing that saved us when our DD was going mental come teeth cleaning time

Thanks OnlyFoolsnMothers that’s the one song that we had included into our routine. He enjoyed it and brushed along to it. But now just gets bored and walks away!

I'm keen to hear any advice because I'm having similar issues with my 18 month old dd. The only thing I have found that helps occasionally that might be worth trying is that I try and make it into a game of 'tickling' her teeth with the toothbrush or putting on the sesame street tooth brushing song on you tube.

We used to have roaring matches 😕 I egged them 'louder...louder!' as I brushed. Loud, but it worked.

It’s so frustrating isn’t it pandabear13?! The ticking one is a good idea and I’ll take a look at the Sesame Street song. Thankyou
