ds1 has had day surgery, to remove ingrowing toe nail today. they actually said he wouldn't have any pain afterwards and he was crying earlier saying it hurt.

anyway, he has to stay off school for a week (much to my surprise) and tomorrow is ds2 sponsored walk which i have faithfully joined in with every single year.

to do it tomorrow would mean leaving ds1 on his own for about 2-3 hours.

he is eleven btw. so, do i disapoint ds2 or do i leave ds1 alone????

help!

sorry, not clear. ds1 is off school and he's eleven.
ds2 is doing walk at the school and he's 8!

IF you have a mobile to take with you, I would. I was left alone for a few hours in the middle of the day at that age.

I would call though to make sure everything was alright.

no one to sit with ds1 and the walk is around the school, not essential to go as the teachers are there obviously but each year some parents including myself go and do it with them (10 laps school field!)

it's just that i always do and ds2 will be a bit upset/disapointed i think
