Does anyone else get this?

Hi, I have 2 DC's. 1 DS (6) and 1 DD (3). I would love a third and we are planning to try next year, but...in those moments when I'm being woken up at 630am I find myself strongly thinking "no more babies! I need MORE sleep, not LESS!" (DC's generally sleep well but 3 year old sometimes wakes us during the night). Then by the time I've had a cup of tea and woken up a bit I'm back to thinking a third would be wonderful and feel that way the rest of the day (apart from the odd really bad day).
Did anyone else get this? Is it a perfectly normal feeling cause all people like sleep right?!

Perfectly normal feeling. I’m expecting DC3 and when my 12 months old is getting up at the break of dawn I have moments of horror, how am I going to do this when I have also been up all night!!!! DD 1 also sleeps in bed with me... so sleeping arrangements could be better! But go for it, it’s such a short amount of time sleep deprived if you look at the bigger picture x

Thank you for your reply! Im relieved to hear they are normal feelings. I worry that maybe I'm not cut out to have more than the average 2 kids due to my need for sleep. I realise everyone needs sleep but some definitely do better than others with sleep deprivation.

Thanks!
Oh boy I need sleep, always have - do not let that put you off, please. It’s a short time in their lives and then you can sleep again 👍

Definitely, a fight of the mind whether you have to or stop already. A normal feeling, talk to your partner and finalize your decision.Smile
