No idea if this is the right place to post this but can children catch scabies from domestic pets?

As far as I know it’s not the same and although they could technically ‘catch’ them it’s not the same as having the human version I.e. the pet version of scabies can’t bury under human skin and will die off within 48 hrs (?) - although if the human is constantly around pet then the scabies will keep reinfecting the person. Pet scabies will however make a person very itchy.

Do you need any advice on pet scabies? Our pets had it, it was awful. They had to have injections from the vets and then regular treatments of spot on.
