Unsettled baby

My baby girl is 12 weeks and sleeps so well at night and has several naps during the day but by late afternoon/ teatime she gets herself so wound up and goes hysterical. Takes a while to de- escalate with cuddles, walking around and takes some of bottle but gets upset during feeding.

Anyone else experience this? Just wondering if it's due to tiredness. She takes the rest of her bottles with no issues.

And once she's down at night she is no problem and goes down with no issues after night feeds.

Confused new mother asking thanks.

Totally normal I believe! Me and my friends call it the witching hour. My DS is 6 months and from 5-6 is grumpy and it's tiredness. We just have wind down time and books/cuddles on sofa after his dinner and before his bath. I think it gets easier as they get bigger as more easily distracted with activities and things but I do remember when he was younger having lots of cuddles and rocking and walking around kitchen early evening

Great thank you.
My mum thinks she's 'at it' obviously forgotten what her 4 children were like lol.
Can't complain if shes sleeping most of the night and only unsettled a few hours a day. Smile

It's affectionately known as the witching hour ! Mine are 5,3&1 and all still get it in varying degrees. Tiredness I put it down to.

5pm till bathtime/DH getting home is the longest hour of the day! Worse now its darker i think.

Standard! Our witching hour used to go from about 3 until 8. Now she's 8 months and usually gets restless from about 5-6pm.

Cheers @spugzbunny because Poppy goes on from around 3 till her bedtime around half 6/7.

Yes totally normal. My 13-month-old still has her witching hour before bedtime 🙄 she gets so grumpy and overtired.
