11 week old night terrors

Reckon they can have them?? Been sat watching my 11 week old thrashing around in her sleep. She’s done nearly a 180 in her crib she’s moving so much. Shes not awake and not crying 🤷🏼‍♀️Just moaning and making generally horrible noises. Kind of like frustration.

I put her across my nee as I felt the girl was going to wear a hole into her head she’s moving it side to side so much...she stopped for a bit then started again.

Not once has she opened her eyes. Never done a dream feed but currently feeding her to get her to stop! Any ideas?

Is she active during the day? Mine was always banging his arms and legs round at that age both during the day and in the nighttime. We put him in his cot rather than the Next 2 me after a week or so and that seemed to help.

How is she when she’s awake, is she having any colic? Did the extra feed help too?

I’m sure I’ve read somewhere that experts believe babies don’t have dreams until much older?

She could have some nasty gas, it really bothers babies

She’s super active in the day (really hard to get to nap!) but no colic.

The feed did seem to help. Was just very strange!

If you’re struggling to get her to nap, have you tried the No Cry Nap Solution? Smile

@JiltedJohnsJulie ooh what’s that? :)

Could you try swaddling her? Not quite as extreme as your LO but I swaddle my DS as he thrashes his arms and legs about when he is tired (ironically it keeps him awake)

Have you read up on grunting baby syndrome? (The syndrome makes it sound daunting!!! But basically means for a short period of time babies sleep like you've explained) my baby would do this after her 2/3am feed and at no other sleep time. She grew out of it after a couple of weeks!

It’s here Smile
