Toddler detests the car

I have a 21 month old DD who has pretty much hated being in the car from day dot, quite often getting into a right old state and I would have to pull over..
Now it has got even worse to the point where it's not a moan or a grumble she is screaming blue murder and pulling on her straps (has always hated being strapped into anything) it's so stressful and frustrating, I have nursery rhymes on, I try singing, I take snacks but I'm literally out of ideas. It was so bad earlier she screamed herself to sleep and I pulled over and just cried 😭 I'm in the first trimester so I'm exhausted and car journeys r unavoidable as I also have a 9 year old who has to be taken to school and club (neither walking distance)
Has anyone else experienced the same? Got any ideas?

Amuses her for 10 mins or so..
I'm considering getting her a lil kindle or something for Xmas I just am not a massive fan of little people and technology..

My little boy has a Amazon fire kids tablet he uses in the car. It's been a life saver keeps him happy on journeys. You can load cartoons and films on to it. Also he has a little light for at night as hates the dark in the car. X
