Hi ds was made a sixer at cubs and he was ecstatic. This was in August. It is now November and he’s now not a sixer and given no reasons why. My DH is on the exec and didn’t say anything! My son didn’t attend the remembrance service and missed last week. My DH was supposed to help one night but got held up at work and forgot! If they are peed off that is fine but surely they should explain to my son why. He’s really upset! He will be moving to scouts soon but he’s made his own son the sixer! AIBU?

As a Cub Leader I find this confusing. The only reason I would demote a sixer is because of unsatisfactory behaviour, but even then I would be talking to the parents/guardians about what had happened.

Another thought - I have 3 sixers, so is he sure he's not a sixer any more? I would have a chat with the Cub Leader

Hi DH is worried in case he is sounding pissy. But I think to give a reason is the least they could do. My son has no behavioural problems - it would’ve simply because he didn’t attend.
He said he’s clear he is no longer a sixer.

You need to ask whoever runs the group.
