Anti reflux milk and constipation

My baby is 5 weeks old, she was very unsettled from about 3 weeks, screaming majority of the time, so when I went to my gp i mentioned it to him? He told me it sounds like she has reflux, and advised me to try anti reflux milk, so we’re now 2 weeks down the line, reflux is a lot better but she’s really constipated! Screaming and straining to poop, she still goes every day but it’s a pastey dry texture and smells awful! I think I’d rather have the sicky crying baby back than her being like she is now! Anybody any advise or had similar experiences when their baby was on anti reflux milk. I’ve just been and bought a normal cow and gate formula but unsure wether changing her back onto normal milk is the right thing to do?

Watching with interest as I have a reflux afflicted 7 week old. On normal formula but getting constipation from infant gaviscon. My health visitor has recommended an oz cooled boiled water in between feeds to help soften her poo, but she's still straining!

Yeah mines the same! She still goes every day so I’m not sure she’s fully constipated but she’s in pain passing stools and their small pale coloured dry poos! X

Have you tried Aptamil Comfort? It's meant for constipation, but because it's thick it worked very well for my DD's reflux, even though it's not specifically intended for that.
