What do you do when?

Your DC won't eat due to teething.

I'm 99% sure it's teething. Gum is all swollen and looks like a tooth is about to pop through.

But DD 12 months the last 2 days had been extremely fussy with food.

Tried her with an assortment of things and she's only eating about 1/4 of what she was two days ago. Do you just keep offering and ride it out?

You give extra milk and fluids until it's over. Not really eating solids for a day or two won't harm a healthy 12mo.

You can also try:

  • homemade fruit or milk ice pops
  • Calpol/ibuprofen half an hour before you offer solids.

Thanks for the reply 😊 I'm offering plenty of fluids and she's gone back to waking in the night for a bottle of milk.

Hopefully it will pop through soon enough
