Hello. What should I have done ? Here is the story. I went to my daughters friends birthday party for the pickup and was waiting for the taxi after that. While we were waiting, one Mother came to her car and opened the car door. We heard the baby crying so I talked with my Daughter about the crying baby. The Mother looked at me and said “ did you know the baby was crying? You should have noticed me about it”. It looked like she had left the baby while she had picked up her other Daughter. Because I am not good at English and was talking with my Daughter, I couldn’t reply anything instantly. She got angry with me and left. We didn’t know the baby crying until the mom open the door. Because I think our Daughter are in the same school, I feel overwhelmed by her remarks and attitude. Is it better for me to contact with the mum which I don’t know? I don’t want to be misunderstood. Maybe I can ask the birthday girls mum about the mum’s contact.

I'd just leave it tbh. You didn't do anything wrong. She shouldn't have left the baby anyway
