Room sharing

I’m thinking way ahead but I’m pregnant with my third baby, my daughter will be 6 and son will be 4 when baby is born. They both have a room each and in a few years to come whatever sex the baby is was going to share with same sex sibling. But I’m now thinking the age gap might be abit much so was thinking of putting both my kids just now in a room to share as there is only two years between them and they are best friends who would love bunk beds. Any advice from anyone who has kids with same age gaps ?

We did this last year when they were 6 and 3. Best move ever. They love sharing, bedtime is easier, it frees up a room and are company for each other. I am happy to leave bit like this until DD ( now 7) starts to want her own space but imagine that will be a few years off.
