Rash on toddler’s torso

Goinonabearhuntt · 10/11/2018 20:07

This rash appeared yesterday on my toddler’s torso, no where else apart from one little spot on his leg (which may be completely unrelated) - he seems completely well in himself and it doesn’t appear to be itchy. Does anyone know what this rash is/what may have caused it?

My DTs have exactly the same thing, they’re 9 months old. I’ve been to a&e (couldn’t make them disappear under the glass, turns out I’d not applied enough pressure!) a temp, and cold hands and feet. Went to the drs, have been told it’s probably a virus, to use aveeno and dose them up with calpol.

They’ve had it for 5 days now, the spots/rash is scabbing up a bit, look less angry and are getting better.

Please don’t judge my a&e visit, they’re my pfbs, and my dd temp (who I went in for) was rising quite fast etc.

OP are they little pustules or blisters?

That looks like chicken pox to me

That's what I thought birds. I understand it often starts on the torso.

My DD looks like this if she has cows milk. The more she has the worse it gets.

We are off it completely for now.

We used to trial it every few months, but its not worth it, as the spots get sore.

Thanks for the responses. Oh god I really hope it’s not chicken pox, I also have a newborn baby. He’s asleep now but I didn’t think it was that as he hasn’t been bothered by them and they’ve been there since yesterday evening with no fuss from him. Will check them again first thing but they’re like little spots, one of them looks a bit like a whitehead with a white raised centre, maybe the others will go that way too.

They look like chicken pox to me, the two close together - one looks like the classic shiny white blister they turn into.

Hope I'm wrong, good luck OP

Doesn’t chicken pox spread and develop pretty quickly after the rash has started though? The rash has been on just his belly since Friday evening and he hasn’t noticed it. Apart from that and an on going cough/snotty nose he seems fine?
