Hello! My little man will be six months this Christmas. Can you recommend some cool toys? Would prefer to give him one good one than loads of plastic crap! Thanks mamas x

My DS got a push walker that he loved at that age.

Look at the 'Janod' toys, we have got our ds the 'multi activity looping toy' as his main present and getting some other of their bits too.. mostly wood and nicer looking than some of the other brands! Also looking at getting to JoJo Maman Bebe walker Smile

If you are averse to plastic crap, join the Babi Pur hangout and Baba Me page, tonnes of reviews and ideas from wooden toy purists. At 6 months I'd probably make a treasure basket with sensory items in, and get lots of nice board books, puppet and sound button ones.

DD was around this age for her first Christmas. We got her a Jumperoo and then little toys that she could hold like a baby musical instrument set, stacking cups, building blocks and a shape sorter. Those are still the things she prefers to play with now that she's one (obviously not the Jumperoo any more) even over the other big items people bought for her first birthday.

Ikea have some wooden toys in such as blocks, hoops etc might be worth a look there for some stocking fillers. Also a look on amazon may be worth it
