Hi all
My son is 8 +4 weeks. Since 4 days he is been bit upset. He is putting his hand in mouth and chews bottle teat. Is it due to teething. I know its bot early for that. Any advice. Not been having enough feed.

Do you mean 9 months?

Chewy toys - toothbrushes are good for this. If he is in pain than anbesol oil and nurofen work best.

Is he 8 weeks? Can you see any teeth coming through?

He is 8 weeks and 4 days.
Cannot see any teeth but he is still putting his hand in mouth and chewing bittle teats when feeding

DD was like this from around the same age. No teeth came through until she was 8 months. Health visitor said that it could have been teeth moving into place under the gums, but also babies do just like to put their hands in their mouths so it's not necessarily to do with teething, just something new they've learned to do. As for the chewing on the teat, what size teat flow are you using? DD chewed on or played with the teat when she needed to go up to the next one. She moved up around 7/8 weeks I think and was on the fast flow one way before the age it recommends.
