Screen time limits

Hi everyone - I am concerned that my nephew has too much screen time - when he gets in from school he watches 2-3 hours of fort nite - then watches tv whilst having dinner, and then on his phone until bedtime so roughly 4-5 hours a night of screen time?

Am I worrying too much? Any ideas would be welcome - thank you.

Yeah that's quite a lot. If you look into why screen time does to young children and children in general it's quite scary. They recommend no more than one hour a day. Even one hour apparently affects a child's sleep and begins to change the brain as to how they learn new information. It's crazy.. but I mean I'm sure he'll be fine.. he should def lower down how much he's watching tv though.. but I get it, that's all kids want to do so it's hard.
