DD will be 5 months next week. We use MAM bottles and she's on size 2 teats. The teats are looking a bit discoloured and manky now and I'm aware you're not meant to use them for more than 3 months (which we have now reached) and should replace them. The guidance on size 3 teats in 4mo+ but obviously all baby's are different and it's just a guide.
Sometimes I think she's getting frustrated that the milk comes out slowly and she's clearly sucking very hard but more often then not she's fine. She's always been a bit of a diva about feeding so I'm nervous to change anything. I've tried using size 3s and some bottles have been fine, perhaps a bit spluttery, others disastrous and she refuses the bottle!
I don't really want to spend more money on size 2 teats if she's going to outgrow them. But what should I do? Carry on using the size 2s despite 3mo advice? Switch to size 3s and make her learn to use them?
