How many bowel movements is normal?

My baby is 7 weeks tomorrow and formula fed.

He went from having a poo more or less every feed (every 2-3 hours), even more than that sometimes! to the last two days, he’s having about 2/3 nappies that have poo. Plenty of wet nappies though. Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

He has an average of 5/6oz of formula every 2/3 hours.

Thank you!

My DDs nappies have changed over the first 13 week of her life. She started off with a number daily to one big one a day to one every few days. Now she's back to one every day. No change in her diet just the way her digestive system is developing! I'd only be worried of they changed to an odd colour or was diarrhoea.

Yes that sounds normal to me. Both of mine (one ff and one bf) only pooed every 4-7 days until they started solids (and then became much more regular).

6ish weeks is exactly the age their bowel habits change from pooing with every feed to less often.
