How do your DC listen to music?

Thinking of Christmas presents for 10yo DS and considering a radio/ CD player for his room. Then thought this is probably hopelessly old fashioned? He has a tablet so should we get him a Streaming App instead? If so which is best and do any of them have parental controls? I'm so out of touch

you could consider getting him a subscription to deezer premium and a speaker :)

Yes a CD player is a bit passe OP - I bet many teens wouldn't even know how to use one

Thanks for the suggestions . Surprised to see that neither Spotify nor Deezer seem to have an option for blocking explicit lyrics though.

Echo in teens room and echo spot in younger children’s room. Stream music from amazon and books through audible.

We have a Spotify subscription anyway and a Sonos system. Plus DD has an Alexa. She uses it as an alarm clock as well.

I think with 10 he may have heard the worst anyway, hard to avoid if you listen to normal radio stations.

We check regularly what DD listen to as we can link the Sonos speakers and see what she is up to in her room. We have a strict
“No rap unless approved” rule though.
