In the Metro. A large-scale manhunt was initiated in Brighton after police were called by a member of the public who had witnessed a man picking up a toddler and carrying her off while she cried and shouted ‘stranger!’. It turns out that the little girl was having a tantrum about going home, the man was her dad, and she was absolutely fine. But it got me thinking about all the times tantrumming toddler DD decided to get me into trouble by yelling that she didn’t know who I was. She’s grown out of doing it to me now but she still likes to tell perfect strangers that DP isn’t her daddy, so he looks like a random weirdo
No one has ever called the police - as far as I’m aware anyway! - but this could very easily have been us.
Anyone else’s toddler disown them at embarrassing moments?
