NHS bursary & childcare allowance

Does anyone have any experience of how exactly the means tested childcare allowance is worked out for AHP students? I've read the info on the BOSS site and had a Google but all I can find is an example of if someone was entitled to the full 85%. Does anyone know what the threshold is for receiving the childcare allowance?

Did you ever find out an answer to this @DancingDownRain?

@CrookshanksPotter I called the bursaries people and persuaded them to give me an estimate based on the figures they had for me last year. I can't remember the specifics, sorry, because it turns out it's barely worth my time applying (even tho my DP is on not much more than minimum wage). My actual bursary has gone down this year as well. Brilliant!

My actual bursary has gone down this year as well ooh ouch! Okay I probably wouldn't get anything either then. Thanks for replying Smile

Sorry I didn't have anything more useful to say; my memory is shot! Our rent is less as we moved a year ago & I only need part time childcare, so it could be worth you ringing them and asking for an estimate or even just to spell out how they calculate it, as each case is different. I'd hate for you to miss out!
