12 day old grumpy baby - trapped wind?!

Hello all - we have a beautiful 12 day old boy who we think is suffering from trapped wind. He feeds well in the early part of the day but from his 4pm feed onwards really struggles. He shrieks in pain and is very difficult to settle. He is currently taking between 70-120ml per feed and is feeding 4 hourly. It’s much worse at night and he is extremely difficult to settle overnight. He is having infacol - has been for about 5 days.

Do you think there is anything we can do? Basically when he’s awake, he’s grumpy 😢

Love to hear your thoughts.

When our wee one was like this, my husband would use the Tiger in the Tree hold and it would settle him immediately. HV said it's because it creates a little pressure on their tummy.

This is normal for a baby this age, sorry. Settling them at night is almost impossible!
They have trapped wind, sore tummies and all sorts. By six months it is so much better but it sounds like you’re doing what you can with infacol. Also wind them as much as possible.
It does improve a lot but just accept absolutely rubbish sleep for now. Trapped wind later in the afternoon is also normal
