My 13 week old DD seems to have a pimple type spot on her nipple, i dont remember her having this when she was born, its all of a sudden appeared. It doesnt bother her at all but i've noticed its got bigger.

Took her to the gp this morning & he wasnt sure what it was (helpful) he said it was quite unusal & he will refer us to the hospital.
Has anyone else's DC had this or similar or does anyone know what it is exactly?

Thanks

It looks like a little milk blister to me, although it’s hard to tell from the picture. It’s normal for young babies to have little swollen breasts or to make small amounts of milk - it’s often called witches milk.

So I personally wouldn’t worry about this, wait and see what the hospital doctors say though as they’ll be able to properly examine her.

I'd guess some form of blocked milk duct? I took my dd to the dr because she had a hard lump under one nipple. Apparently that's really common. Are you breast feeding? The hormones transfer

Thanks legal no not breast feeding. I really feel like squeezing it (obviously i'm not going to) its annoying now got to wait for my appt to come through which usually takes ages i just want to know what it is.
