Sorry for the numerous threads. First time mum and health visitor isn’t coming until next week.

My 6 week baby (12lb) went from feeding every 2-3 hours with 5/6oz and taking the whole lot about a two weeks ago even through the night to now having about 6/7oz at about 11pm, waking up once at night and having about 2oz, then waking at about 6 and having 2oz and falling asleep again. He still has about 5oz during the day.

He had his BCG jab a week away. Should I be worried?

He’s not being fussy or throwing it up. He’s perfectly happy. Abit more sleepy but that could be typical baby behaviour.

But I am worried about his feeding, especially at night. But I suppose he may be gearing up to start sleeping through the night?

Please try not to worry. Babies often change their behaviour, usually just when you think you’ve got everything sussed Smile

A ff baby should be having roughly 2.5 floz of formula per pound in weight in 24 hours. If you work it out, and he’s getting enough, there’s no need to worry.

Extra sleepiness isn’t really a concern if he’s waking for feeds and is bright and alert at times too Smile

Forgot to say, enjoy your sleep and there’s a Infant Feeding Section on MN which you might find helpful Smile
