Sleepovers

DH and I had a heated debate yesterday over this topic. When is old enough for kids to do sleepovers at friends houses? I said 10ish he said 14- 16 AT LEAST. When I was a kid me and my friends would regularly stay over at each other’s from a really young age, watch a movie, play games etc. He reckons sleepovers mean sneaking out to the park to drink cheap cider.....we all did that but I wouldn’t be worried about this happening at 10! I’m pretty sure that by the time I was 14-16 I was over sleepovers (had moved on to drinking in the Park by then hahaha)

My ds has had and been going to sleepovers for a couple of years. He is 8.

Oh christ he'd hate me...DD is 6 & has had sleepovers numerous times! I think the first time she had a sleepover at a friend's she was 4!

Tbh if the kids are going to sneak off to the park they're going to do it (or at least attempt it) regardless of where they are bedding down for the night

My kids started having sleepovers at 6yo. I can assure you they were not qsneaking out to the park to drink.

They are 11yo now and still not sneaking out to the park to drink.

Your DH’s attitude is a bit odd. How old is your D.C.? They will miss out on quite a few birthday parties if sleepovers aren’t allowed.
