Does anyone know where I can get any that don’t cost the earth / make me look like my 85 year old Grandmother?

Asos have great maternity stuff.
H and m have good quality vests to layer.
And 2 tops method. So wear a vest, then a tshirt. Pull t-shirt up, pull vest down, you are covered baby is fed voila.
Vests were £2 from Primark, nice and stretchy, still going strong after 2 years!

I love that idea about the layers - thank you!

I've got a couple of these T-shirt's from Amazon, they are great. Gap nursing stuff in the sale is also good. www.amazon.co.uk/Smallshow-Nursing-Striped-Breastfeeding-T-Shirt/dp/B07DYF2S7Z?th=1&psc=1

I quite often wore a crop top under a shirt so could unbutton shirt and then lift crop top.

2 tops, one up one down
So you use your normal ones and buy a few H&M tank tops with the thin adjustable straps 🙂
The long ones better

Go on the Facebook group 'can I breastfeed in it'! Lots of ideas

Thanks everyone! I just feel so frumpy lately - this is great! 😁

I'd recommend paying for a decent breastfeeding hoodie even if pricey. I wore mine so much and it's great not to have to strip just to get access.

I also found a warm jumper at I think New Look that had a deep v crossover which I used I lot. You need to think creatively.

Most people prefer the one up one down thing. I prefer a nursing top, which frankly I wish I didn't! Most of mine are from H&M, ordered online. They're grand, do the job.

Oh and yes, I got a hoody from stylish mum which I love for lazy days.

INeedNewShoes · 28/10/2018 07:17

If you go into Jojo stores when they have sales they reduce the prices a huge amount. I picked up a couple of tops for £5.

I kept those for smart days and other wise layered vest tops with other tops/jumpers as described above. This method I found gave me the best coverage for feeding out and about as well.

mindutopia · 28/10/2018 08:18

I got vests from jojo and just wear my normal tops. Also have several tunics/dresses from jojo too which are nice (they aren’t cheap but they’ve lasted me a year so far through end of pregnancy and 8 months of bf), so well worth the £39.

I thought the H&M ones were great, but maybe I'm not as stylish as you.

Rosesared · 28/10/2018 20:32

I got a lovely cozy nursing hoodie off ebay for a fiver...and you can't even tell it's a nursing top.
