8 Week Vaccinations

So DS2 has his 8 week shots on Friday and was a bit fussy that day, slept like a (relative) dream (super unusual) that night but has been miserable since - crying constantly when awake and terrible with sleep - 25 minute stints for most of last night.

When other people's LOs had these shots, did anyone else's struggle for more than a day or two after? Trying to figure out whether this is colic, illness or just the after effects. Losing the will a bit with sleep deprivation and the constant crying/pain the poor thing is in

My LO was unusually tired for 3 days. Other mums in my baby group said it took their wee ones a week to get back to normal as they were out of sorts. They didn't elaborate on symptoms though.

Yes, first night was ok, second night screaming in agony! Took us by surprise as we didn't realise it was the injections at first because it was a delayed reaction!

Yes, it’s not unusual for them to be out of sorts for up to a week after. It’s their immune systems doing lots of important work. The 3rd set were the worst at 16 weeks? Up all night for probably 4 days but then fine.

my dd screamed for hours the evening she had them, slept ok through the night and slept and unusual amount the following day, but by the day after she was back to normal. The 8 week ones and 16 weeks are the worst because they have the meningitis one that gives them a temp
