Needing help!

I have begun toilet training my 2.8 twins. boy/girl. I have potty trained my 6 others, but waited until they were 3 and it was very straight forward, and done within days.

I am starting these 2 now basically because of the summer months.

DD is thrilled to be wearing pants, and asks for them on all the time. But she has only been able to do 1 wee in the potty. Every other time she has wee'd in her pants, which is fine we clear up and put new pants on. She sits on the potty and tries, and then says 'later'. This has been going on for nearly a week. I was wondering if this means she just isn't ready as she dosen't seem to be able to hold it in.It's like a total suprise to her when it happens.

Do you think i should put the pants away and try again in a few weeks? or just continue for longer.

I gave up with DS after 1 day, he wasn't overly impressed with the pants thing. And seems to wee every 10 mins!!! (more like 30 but feels like 10!)

Any advice anyone?

Wait I'd say.

Flamesparrow · 15/06/2007 20:24

I would wait too.

(And completely irrelevant that you must get all the time @ 8 children with 2 sets of twins! I am always fascinated by how people cope with big families, but big families with oodles of twins too leaves me in awe )

Thanks for your replies

Do you mean wait and try again later? or wait and see if she gets the hang of using the potty at the right time?

Flamesparrow-the twin thing can happen to anyone, no twins in my family what so ever and i get 2 sets in 3 years..lol It's all lovely...apart for the toilet training bit and guessing which twin has done what and where..lol

Wait completely for a couple of weeks and then see how she feels about it

My friend ended up with surprise twins too (another none in the family job)... I don't tend to cope all that well with one baby, so its stories like that that make me think I'll stick with the 2 that I'm got so I don't tempt the odds .

lol......the thing is aswell that sometimes little accidents happen too..both my accidents were the twins...lol

So be very careful!!!
