Dc2 is 7weeks old now and is bf, he never seems to be awake. Will wake crying I feed one, falls asleep, nappy change which wakes him, cries for more feed, offer other breast will feed and fall back asleep and thats us until next hungry.
Feeding usually every 1.5hr - 2hr occasionally going to 2.5hr during the day and 3hrs at night.

My first was ff and I was in a good routine for daily tummy time etc but this one I never do any thing with because he is always sleeping.

Is this normal to still be only feeding and sleeping at over 7week old. I saw another thread about a 8weeks naps etc having gone swimming and other activities there is no way my ds would be awake for any activity.

Should I be worried?

My daughter was like this. She is nearly two now. And still likes her sleep she has a 3hour nap and is in bed by 6pm and wakes at 7am. She is fine. When she was a baby she just slept and slept she would wake more as she got older. If you are worried speak to the Doctor or health visitor if you have one.

My 2nd DS was like this until about 12 weeks.
My mum kept telling me to just enjoy it! I worried about him ... The. At about 4-4½ months he 'woke up' and hasn't napped much since! Shock

My first DD was like this. I used to have to wake her up to feed her. As she got older I'd put her down for what I thought would be a short nap and 3hrs later she'd still be asleep! She's 19 now and would still sleep the day away if you let her.

DD2 was the complete opposite. Five minutes after putting her down she'd be wide awake again. I always said if I'd had her first I would have stopped at having one DC Grin.

My friend’s baby was just like this. Didn’t wake up until about 3 months old! I was a bit envious to be honest Grin. He’s 3 now and perfectly healthy, he just liked his sleep.

My DD was like this. I was always saying to the health visitor about it but she always hit her milestones as she got older so they weren't concerned at all. Only down side is I felt like I didn't get those precious baby days with her as she was always in her bed. She still sleeps crazy amounts now and she's 2 and a half! It seems to be normal for some kids.

My eldest was like that. She grew out of it of course, but was the last child we knew to stop napping (around her 4th birthday), and at nearly six will still sleep in the car.

I now have another child who thinks that sleep is for the weak... So my advice would be to enjoy your sleeping child Grin

My first was very much more awake so its been worrying me this one isn't.

The 6 week check/assessment the health visitor does he failed it because there is no strengthening of neck muscles still that of a newborn baby.
There is no suggestion of a smile or anything yet.
It will be getting repeated at just short of 9 weeks.
