8 month old feeding stuff?

Quick ask to see if anyone else has had an issue like this? DD is 8 months and we're taking the approach in that it's a lot of pureed stuff. More textures now she's older. However when I've tried to introduce something like pasta she gags and vomits after 1 spoon. She also gagged and vomited on a piece of cottage cheese Sad

Now today she's eaten some of those veg straw snacks so she's feeding herself a bit. They went brilliantly (She's also had the wafer things in the past), but 20 mind later she vomited up the lot.

Lunch was an ellas 7 month pouch which was fine. Not much later on I noticed this mark on her head. She's had these heat lump type things before and they go as quickly as they come.

If anyone has had similar, does this look like it could potentially be some sort of allergy? Disclaimer is she is getting over the worst of a snotty cold but no temperature. She's fine in herself.

Forgot to mention she's still on breastmilk.

What was in the pouch OP?

It was an Ellas lamb roast dinner one.

Hmm that's really odd because my little one gets very similar spots with exactly that pouch!!

Oooerrr, and she had some for dinner yesterday and it took us till 11pm to get her to stay down in the cot. She's usually out by 8.30, 9.30 at the absolute latest. Hmmm, may give that one flavour a miss in future, it's the first time she's had it.

Tbh I was more concerned about the veggie crisp sticks (they were kiddilicious ones) because she was sick afterwards, I had thought the spot might be related to that. But it's interesting it may be more about the lamb pouch!

The redness has faded now and the spot is very faint, if it goes as usual then it'll most likely be gone tomorrow.

That is odd. I’d maybe give that particular pouch a miss in future. Looking at the ingredients, over a third is stock, so essentially water and the lamb is only 11%. That’s not a criticism, I’ve used jars Smile

I’m not sure if it’s an allergic reaction, looking at the ingredients I’d say the potato was probably the ,OST likely culprit, but I could be wrong.

It might be worth keeping a food diary for at least a week to see if there’s a pattern Smile

There’s potato and tomato (a common allergen) in the Kiddylicious Veg Straws. I think it’s definitely worth keeping that food diary Smile

Might be a white potato thing, she has sweet potato but fine with that. Don't think it's tomato, dinner tonight is a homemade butternut squash and tomato with salmon which she loves.

Will do a food diary though, especially as we're starting to think about new foods.
