21 week old baby sleep trouble

My baby is EBF and has never been a good sleeper. Until about 3 months old, he used to sleep on me or my husband. We have been able to move him to our bed after bouncing him to sleep since about 13 weeks. I co-sleep with him at night and he was having 1 or 2 night feeds from 12 - 14 weeks. From 14 weeks, he has been waking up 3 times a night till about 17 weeks. Then he started waking up 4-5 times and from last Friday, his sleep is all over the place. One day he slept for 6 hrs and then woke up every 1.5 hrs, next day was wake up every 1.5 - 2 hrs, next day was 5 hrs sleep and then wake up every 1.5 - 2 hrs and another day it was 3 hrs sleep and then wake up every 1.5 - 2 hrs. Once he wakes up around 3 am, he will not sleep for another 1.5 - 2 hrs. He also had 1 night with 3 wake ups every 3 hrs. I have tried settling him without a feed but the moment he touches the bed he starts crying and I eventually bf him to sleep. BF to sleep doesn't work during the 3am wake up. He has also been fighting naps except his first nap.

I have no idea what to do with him. He isn't showing any teething signs, doesn't have a temperature and is feeding fine. He has been snotty since about 11 weeks. Is he hungry? Do I start weaning? Or is this just a phase?

Hi sounds like the dreaded 4month sleep regression. It's tough but totally normal and you'll be glad to know it will pass soon.
Just do the usual dark, no talking during the night so basically be boring and lively and fun during the day.

Glad to know this will pass soon. I just can't get him into a nap schedule since he sleeps differently every 2 days. Last 2 days he had 2 1 hr naps and today he won't stay down for more than 5 mins for a nap.
