My poor little dd (5 months) has just vomited EVERYWHERE she has scared me witless. she has never regurgitated anything before. This time she was really wretching.
She brought back her new apricot muesli breakfast!

maybe it was the new breakfast...

dd2 vomited whenever she was teething - which was nice!

soapbox · 26/08/2004 12:36

Poor thing - is there anything in the breakfast that she might be allergic to? Look at the ingredients has she had all of them before in something else??

If not I suspect its just one of those things that babies do

Perhaps it just caught in her throat or something MrsD? This used to happen with ds. How is she now?

ds did projectile vomit once it was like excorcist. I know it can be horrigyig but try not to worry/be scared. just make sure dd gets lots of liquid and if it keeps going on aand you are v worreid check with your GP/nurse for reassurance. Maybe she just hates apricot tho.

Those muesli breakfast things can be very sugary...maybe she gorged on it?

Mum2girls · 26/08/2004 12:54

Just a thought MrsD - did you give it with cow's milk - if so has she had it before? just thinking about lactose intolerance maybe....

Am back. I was upset seeing the look of shock in her face! Thanks ladies
She had her 3rd jabs yesterday so I thought it could be them at first. But I think she had too much meusli, she usually only has banana!
Poor chick, she was such a mess. I had to put her in the bath.
I made it on formula and will do til she's a year!

I used to call it ectoplasm sick. I just couldn't believe that much goo came out of a small baby and with such force. DS1 used to puke if (1) a tiny lump came into contact with his throat (2) if he'd eaten too much (3) if he didn't like the food (even after eating a fair amount of it). So although you should check for allergies/lactose intolerance, it might just be the new food. I got so much puke aimed at me, I still remember crying at the kitchen sink one morning, after the third lot of breakfast had gone everywhere! I never gave him weetabix again.

Well it happens... would never understand why, DS once vomited so hard in the car that the vomit went up to the windscreen, we have no idea how he did it, the three of us went back home to have a shower and then spent three hours trying to clean the car.Yuck!!
