Baby's hair falling out?

Hi all,

My DS is 13 weeks old and this morning there is little hairs in his crib where his head usually is. Is this normal? He was born with a full head of hair and i would hate for it to go

We had this, HV said it was quite normal and not to worry, something to do with hormonal changes after birth.

All 4 of mine were born with a whole head of hair and they all lost theirs. If you drew a line from 1 ear over the top of their heads to the other ear, all the hair in front of that line fell out, they looked ridiculous!

Very normal. My dd was born with a head full of hair which all fell out and she was bald as an egg for about 2years Grin hair grew back a completely different colour.

Totally normal to fall out. It may not all go though. Mine all had lots of hair and although it fell out and thinned, they never went bald.

Totally normal. DD has full head of thick dark hair, it fell out initially where she rubbed it at the back when sleeping, then eventually all over till she was left with a fairly questionable whispy hairdo. Started growing back again just before one and now she has another extremely thick head of hair, though lighter this time.

DS went from thick black hair to bald.....its getting better now (hes 4 months)

Yeah it does that. both of mine have had all the birth hair fall out and come back in a different colour/texture.

My DD lost all her hair on top of her head . Made her look even more like her dad! It grew back after a few months.

My 4mth old leaves hairs on the mattress where her head rests.

She's got quite a bit of hair but a massive bald patch on the back.

We've got a baby comb over going on.

Aww you've just reminded me of my d s lovely thick mousey brown hair at birth. It was beautiful. Then fell out. Now he has a lovely thick helmet hairdo of white blond.

DD had thick dark hair at birth and ds was ginger. Both lost all hair by 4 months and it grew back fine and blonde.

It's normal.
