Weaning 5.5 month old refusing bottle during the day??

I've been weaning my baby bit by bit for about 3 weeks now. He's had a bit of a rubbish start to life and is cmpa so his milk tastes crappy. He used to take it fine but has started refusing it during the day? He takes 4oz in the morning and 4oz at night a nd that's it. I have to mix the rest in to puree etc so in total it's about 400ml (14oz). I've tried stopping solids, going longer in between, nothing works, he just chews the teat and plays with it but will happily Polish off a pot of yogurt or a jar of puree?! HV didn't seem bothered, is this normal?

Hmmm I’m no expert but I’d be a tad concerned regarding the lack of milk. My DD who is nearly 5 months does go up and down with milk intake and I try to go with the flow. How long has DS not been wanting much milk for??

I’m no expert and I’m not advising but all the babies in my family bar 1, the minute they started getting weaned refused bottles or breast milk pretty quickly. I was gutted when ds basically weaned himself.

My dd was the same. She would turn her nose up at milk wanting yoghurt instead

My health visitor wasn’t concerned at all and said as long as she was still taking in milk, don’t worry. She’s 5 now and in good health.

My ds was CMPA and he didn’t start to wean until he was 7 months. As soon as food started though, milk was out the window. Not that I can blame him. That stuff reeks

It's been the 4days or so, he's been poorly with a cough and cold, but you wouldn't know by looking at him and he's not very congested anymore... Tbh I'd say he's almost back to full health. He used to take his milk pretty well but it seems to have gone out the window. He clamps his mouth down on the bottle to chew it, then pushes it out the side of his mouth... He's 6 months in 10 days not that that makes much of a difference. So far today he's had 440ml of milk including what I've manage to get in to him via puree, yogurt and baby rice with pears . He's also got one more feed left which might just topple him over the 500ml mark hopefully as I've been told this is the minimum amount. My hv didn't seem bothered and just said he's a typical boy?!! He seems very smiley and happy, plenty of wet nappies etc etc, very alert, just didn't knkw if this was normal or not, especially so young :0
