Probably a wierd question but me and my husband have always been the kind to stick on another jumper and put the boiler on when its arctic compared to others...we need to think smarter this year for our DS.

So what temp and when does yours come on/off please. Thanks!

20C due to my asthma.

However it rarely actually gets to that high. It comes on an hour in the morning (roughly 6am-7am) and about 5 hours in the evening (5.30pm-10.30pm). It can drop down to 13C or less inside when it's freezing outside inbetween times. So if I'm in, I stick it on anyway regardless of timings. It only usually gets to 20C right before bedtime. Less winter for a few days with the Beast from the East it was so cold the pipes froze inside even with it on 6 hours a day, so we had to leave it on overnight.

If I lived on my own, it'd be on more (especially so I came home to a slightly warmer house straight after work), but that's the compromise we came up with.

No kids though, if we had them, it would have to be on more I reckon.

At the moment, the heating is set to 20 between about 6 and 8am, and 6 and 10.30pm. It's set to 16 the rest of the time, so it doesn't come on since it's not that cold.

Once it gets colder, it's up at about 22 for the above times, and 18 as a baseline.

Weekends are different, it's in all the time 😬

It's set to 19 during the day (both DH & I work from home, so we need it warm-ish during the day, though we both wear fleeces or sweaters at our desks.)
Comes on around 5.30am to warm up house by 6.30 when we all get up. Goes off around 11pm.
