Travel cot for 8 week old

Hi
Does anyone recommend a travel cot that is suitable for an 8 week old. Ideally one that will last for when they are older as well. Thanks!

You could try one with a newborn bassinet

I would use a Moses basket or the carrycot from a pram at that age. You absolutely can just use a normal travel cot. We have a mothercare one that would have been fine from birth, it’s just unnecessarily big and awkward so a Moses basket or carrycot would be easier for temporary use.

I would be concerned about rolling in a bassinette at 8 weeks. We used a carrycot part of pram.

Any normal travel cot will do but one with a bassinet level like this one will be easier.

We have a hauck one which has been great.

Can’t you just use a standard travel cot? I did when we went on holiday when DD was 10 weeks. But if you already have a pram carrycot that is ok for overnight sleeping then that’s probably even easier.

My sister-in-law gave me a second hand babystart travel cot when my daughter was born a year and a half ago and it has been fantastic and heavily used. Funnily enough she is in it right now fast asleep. It's a full sized cot when up. I put a proper mattress in it to make it more comfortable for her.

Just one tip if you do decide to get one - make sure the middle post is all the way up (or almost all the way up) when you want to fix the 4 sides. Once all four sides are rigid push the post down.

Cheap as chips and I couldn’t recommend more. Had this since my 1 year old was only a few months. Had a playmat in it when he was little and now he’s one I have filled it with ball pit balls and different toys and just use it as my “wait there I need the toilet” safe place mainly Grin it’s honestly been a life saver
