My son is 9 and daughter is 2 in December. At the moment one of us needs to look after my daughter to take my son to the cinema. I was just wondering when you took your children to the cinema and also first Christmas panto (thinking she might be too young this year).

Ive taken my 2 year old to both. He falls asleep in the cinema and he adores the theatre. Took him to watch teletubbies this weekend!
He first went to the theatre at 1. He has seen Mr Bloom, a childrens ballet and a few others. He wasnt very interested in the panto though to be honest.

Panto will be fine as long as they are not overwhelmed by the noise and lighting effects.

For the cinema I would stick to the Saturday/Sunday morning Kids AM type viewings for a 2 year old.

My dd is 4 and she went with nursery at 3 to the cinema to see Peter Rabbit. We're not in the UK and it would have been dubbed in another language she doesn't speak she was fine apparently but had seen the film loads of times at home and neither dh nor I think she's ready for another trip. I think id attempt panto though if we were in the UK.
