Comparing our children

Hi there! I just need some help. My husband always comparing our kids. He always sees other kids are the best and tells them you have to copy and be like other kids. Mostly involves in studing. Kids doing great at school no problem at all but he never see how good are his kids. But he sees others. Is that right way to teach kids?
