My DD all of a sudden does not want to go to sleep. She hit 5 weeks and since then it’s taken three hours to get her down! She’s just so awake all the time.

I’ve tried napping in the afertoon but she’s having none of it. I figured she was to young for that anyway but thought it’d be worth a shot. I’m wondering if she needs to go bed earlier but I no your not meant to leave them in the room on their own. I’m happy to try it but not sure of any earlier is too early?

Just feel like I’m doing something massively wrong! I just can’t soothe her to sleep anymore!

How is she in herself OP, is she getting grizzly or perfectly happy? She could have got over tired which then makes it harder for them to settle.

I think there is a bit of a sleep regression around the 6 week mark from what I can remember. She's probably just working on some new skills.

They go through a huge development change around 5 weeks my ds suddenly became very alert and he just seemed to wake up all of a sudden. We had two weeks where he was just... Up. Then it settled down and by 8 weeks he was sleeping much more at night and during the day. she might just be adjusting to everything, keep at it and give her time, just keep holding her she'll sleep on you. Don't stress with a bed time you'll just stress both of you out and it'll be harder.
It does get better!
