My almost 5 month old is having trouble sleeping during the night. He will have a bath at 7.. then wind down after then 7oz of formula at 8 then into his sleeping bag and usually asleep within 10-20 mins. He has started to wake screaming at 11:30 so I feed him and he goes back to sleep by 12:30 he will then wake again at 3 and I can settle him again in about 30 minutes. He will then wake again at 5am and want to get out of the cot.

I dont know how to encourage more sleep during the night. Can anyone help?

My nearly 5 month old is just the same.... she’ll be asleep by 7 after bath and milk. She’ll wake anywhere between 10:30-0000 fo a feed and go back to sleep relatively easily. She then normally always wakes at 3ish out of habit, I usually give her a little drink and she nods back off. From this time though she is totally unsettled, not in pain or uncomfortable (as far as I can tell) just wriggly! She’s still in with me.
Maybe just a phase at this age? That’s my thinking (and hoping!!) xx

Yeah he's just hungry. This is totally normal and will continue until he's night weaned - probably closer to a year than 5 months.
