Baby poo habits suddenly changed at 5 months

My DD is almost 5 months and breastfed apart from one bottle of formula as a dreamfeed. Until now she's only pooed every 3 or 4 days but the last couple of weeks this has changed to up to 10 a day! They seem normal although sometimes there is a slight greenish tinge to it.

Has anyone else had this? Is it worth me eliminating certain things from my diet to see if it settles her down? Although she doesn't seem in pain, I can often hear her tummy gurgling and she gets a bit more unsettled when feeding sometimes.

Any thoughts appreciated!

Could she be teething ? If she's more unsettled I could be that. My DD is 6 months and has been teething for 2 months now and her nappies are like that.

Same thing happening to me too 5 month ds breastfed before the last couple weeks we would get one megapoo every couple days. Now it's a green poo every hour or two 😳 I've been wondering if it's a tummy bug? But he's also teething so it could be that. Seeing my health visitor tomorrow so I'm going to ask about it.

Thanks mastersensei, could you let me know what your HV says? I think it must be teething as she is so dribbly but the fact that it's green concerns me a little!

Green poo is always a good sign of teething! They tend to be gross, so don’t eliminate anything from her diet.

Exactly the same thing happened to me, although the last few days it's settled, but it went on for a couple of weeks. Green, frequent and PLENTIFUL! Lots of drool and red cheeks as well, so I'd be inclined to think teething. If your LO seeks alright in herself I wouldn't worry xx

@bluebell19 she's been, said as long as baby is alright in themselves and the poo isn't mucasy it's totally normal. Said when they're teething or maybe a bit under the weather with colds/jabs/colicky it can just happen for awhile and then go back to normal

Thank you everyone! I feel reassured now. I'll keep an eye on her but she seems fine so I think it must be teething. Good luck with all of yours!
