Phone screen time limit apps

Hi there any tips on good apps for monitoring and limiting screen time on your children’s phones? Anyone used screen limit? Looks good but asks you to install mobile device management so they can access your child’s phone to do the necessary blocking etc? Is this necessary for all these apps? (My son has an iPhone but unfortunately it’s too old an iPhone for the new IOS inbuilt monitoring) many thanks

Haven't tried this but this is also a great idea to limit the kids on their gadgets.
