Days like these ...

Just wondered if anyone else out there has days like these...

Last night my 8month old woke up at 3:30am ish and didn't go back to sleep til 6:30! In that time there was a huge screaming fit and many, many failed attempts at putting her down in her cot.

Subsequently, today I am EXHAUSTED! We both slept til 10:30, she's just had a nap and I'm still in my pjs, haven't had a drink, haven't even brushed my teeth and I've got a mountain of washing to do and a house to tidy 😩😩😩

Please tell me it's not just me?!

Mine are older, but it’s been a shit week where we’ve all had head colds and DD has had a really bad tummy bug. Nobody has slept a full night since Tuesday.

I’ve hit a wall today, you could probably stir the house with a stick but I give not one shit (VERY unlike me) because I’m exhausted so DS2 and DD are currently curled up in bed with me watching the telly and I’m on here.

Don’t be too hard on yourself, there’s a reason sleep deprivation is used as torture!

My 9 month old is teething! She woke up at 11.45pm on Monday and didn't go back to sleep until 3am Tuesday. I was up for work at 6am and I only just managed to get through the day by drinking copious amounts of tea and paracetamol. I went to work with smudged foundation, wonky eyebrows and unbrushed hair.

No not only you honey, never forget that. There's always someone else up having the same problems at the same time somewhere. My DD is 20 month now and sleeping through but we had a hell of a first year with her sleeping being terrible and it often got me through just thinking that I'm not alone, someone, somewhere is also struggling. Chin up sweetheart things will get better
